Weather charts are showing less rain for a good portion of Argy and RGDS for 15 days. GFS and EC show no rain for a large portion of Pampas and the Center-North of RGDS and Santa Catarina. For Center-North of Brazil the pattern will remain the same – too wet. Most producers in MT, Goiás and other Center-North states expect to start the harvest in the next 10-15 days. Some reports regarding the harvest in Mato Grosso and Paraná – I have been hearing from producers about above-average yields for a favorable year (70 sacks per hectare – 62 bushels per acre - in Canarana for a short cycle beans). Fire reported last Tuesday in Renova Timbúe crush plant (the largest one in Argy). No reports today in the CFR China and no interest – few bids showed up last Tuesday 20 cents below offers for April and May. Sino bought 01 cargo out of PNW for Jan last Tuesday. Soybean meal sales in China close the year bit lower than 2023 – 60% of the sales are for spot delivery, higher than 2023 (53%). Yuan hit lowest level versus USD since December 2023.
