Rains reported during the weekend in most of Brazil. Producers of West of Mato Grosso are still complaining about the scattered rains. More talks about skipping beans and moving directly onto cotton – earlier planting. Urea CFR Brazil dropped LW, which is going to help to keep safrinha costs lower than LY. Chinese crushers were active LW – more than 40 cargoes reported. In the last three weeks more than 130 cargoes – 60% out of Brz. Last Friday trades reported out of PNW and USG for Nov and Dec. Brz sold 02 cargoes for New crop. Crush margins in China for US soybeans for December and January shipment are at breakeven (including costs), while the margin from Brazil for March to June shipment is positive at $20-25 per ton. November is almost 100% covered and Dec only 12%. Jan is 100% open and Feb 33% covered.
