Soybean premiums at Paranagua fell yesterday, even so with very thin farmer selling – only 200k tons for both crops. The farmers selling pace of soybean for new crop is running at 1,5% per week – assuming crop size of 155,4 Mi t (our estimate). Keeping this very slow pace, the farmer selling may reach only 33% by the end of January, very similar to this crop. Agrinvest brokers reported corn trades at 49,5 BRL per sack in Goias and 65 BRL in Bahia, which correspond to a replacement cost Fob Santos between +150z to +200z, way above Fob levels for January shipment (trade level at +80h). For safrinha we see the same decoupling. Brokers reported trades close to +180U24 for July/August shipment. Domestic end users at South of Brz are inquiring for Arg corn for April and poultry industries in the Northeast of Brz are doing calculation for USG corn.
